  • 1m2f 60yds Handicap | 19 runners

    Timeform 1-2-3

1 Orange, black triple diamond and diamonds on cap. Viewpoint (IRE)
2 Grey, royal blue seams, sleeves and cap. Trimoulet
3 Light blue, pink cross belts, black cap. Gone Viral (IRE)

    Timeform view

VIEWPOINT contested some pretty warm turt handicaps last year, and the assessor has seemingly taken a huge risk with him from this much-reduced mark, so he's well worth siding with. Trimoulet is very lightly raced for a 6-y-o and will have a fitness advantage on most, while connections will be expecting a bold showing from Irish-recruit Gone Viral having gone to 78,000 gns to acquire him.

  • 2m1f Handicap Chase | 9 runners

    Timeform 1-2-3

1 White, black and royal blue hooped sleeves, black and royal blue striped cap Fosters Cross (IRE)
2 White, black chevron, black stars on sleeves, black cap, white spots Theatre Mill (IRE)
3 Light blue, dark blue chevron and sleeves, dark blue star on cap Crown Theatre (IRE)

    Timeform view

FOSTERS CROSS is very much at the veteran stage of his career, but he won over timber in December, and has slipped back to the mark from which he scored at last summer's Galway Festival. He can get the better of the returning pair Theatre Mill (who has a good record fresh) and the hat-trick seeking Crown Theatre starting out for Henry de Bromhead (formerly with Gordon Elliott).

  • 2m5f 110yds Hunters' Chase | 6 runners

    Timeform 1-2-3

1 Royal blue and yellow (quartered), royal blue sleeves, yellow spots, royal blue cap. No Loose Change (IRE)
2 Black, white star, black sleeves, white stars. Foundry Square (IRE)
3 Dark green, maroon stars, maroon cap. Calgary Bay (IRE)

    Timeform view

NO LOOSE CHANGE was found out in the Foxhunter at Cheltenham 16 days ago, but now back down in class, this looks a good opening wth the drop in trip unlikely to present a problem. Foundry Square is likely the chief threat as it's hard to gauge what ability Calgary Bay retains nowadays.

  • 1m Maiden Stakes | 18 runners

    Timeform 1-2-3

1 Purple, white seams, striped sleeves, purple cap Jacobean (IRE)
2 Yellow, large black spots, black spots on cap Appeared
3 Green, red epaulettes, green cap Ashraf (IRE)

    Timeform view

JACOBEAN is clearly held in quite high regard at Ballydoyle (he was sent off second favourite for the Racing Post Trophy in October) and can get off the mark on his way to bigger and better things. Appeared and Ashraf both made promising debuts in the autumn, the former 2½ lengths behind the selection over 7f here, and are the types to do well this year, making some appeal for each-way purposes.
