  • 2m2f 148yds Novices' Hurdle | 13 runners

    Timeform 1-2-3

1 Black, black and maroon striped cap. Swivel
2 Orange, beige spots and sleeves, orange cap. Hepijeu (FR)
3 White, maroon star, dark blue sleeves, dark blue and white quartered cap. Panis Angelicus (FR)

    Timeform view

John Ferguson's yard is flying and the returning SWIVEL is well worth a second chance to confirm the promise of his hurdling debut third behind a couple of useful sorts. Charlie Longsdon's Hepijeu looks sure to be bang there again, while Panis Angelicus should be sharper with last month's hurdling bow under his belt and could leave that bare form behind.

  • 2m6f 111yds Novices' Chase | 12 runners

    Timeform 1-2-3

1 Maroon, white star and armlet, maroon cap, white star As De Ferbet (FR)
2 Emerald green and orange hooped, white cap. Waaheb (USA)
3 Black, yellow sleeves, emerald green cap, pink star Shantou Flyer (IRE)

    Timeform view

AS DE FERBET could be sharper with his Killbeggan reappearance under his belt and can put an end to his run of second places over fences. Waaheb came to grief on his chasing debut here earlier in the week but this useful hurdler is an obvious threat if his jumping holds up better on this occasion. Colin Bowe's Shantou Flyer completes the shortlist.

  • 1m1f 192yds Handicap | 18 runners

    Timeform 1-2-3

1 Royal blue. Racing History (IRE)
2 Purple, gold braid, scarlet sleeves, red cap, gold tassel Awesome Power
3 Light blue, dark blue chevrons and sleeves, dark blue and light blue quartered cap. Keble (IRE)

    Timeform view

The bare form of RACING HISTORY's recent victory at Chester is nothing special but he did the job in good style and, as an entry in the Great Voltigeur suggests, he could be a Group-class horse masquerading as a handicapper. Though Awesome Power's latest display at Newmarket was inexplicably poor, he looked one to follow prior to that and has to be feared, while Keble is also shortlist material.

  • 2m 70yds Selling Hurdle | 6 runners

    Timeform 1-2-3

1 Yellow, maroon diamond, diamonds on sleeves, maroon cap. Roja Dove (IRE)
2 Red, grey and red chevrons on sleeves. Swampfire (IRE)
3 Royal blue, yellow cross belts and sleeves, white cap, yellow star. Idlewild

    Timeform view

ROJA DOVE and Swampfire fought out the finish of a Uttoxeter seller a couple of weeks ago and a similar scenario looks likely again, with the former taken to just prevail once more.

  • 2m2f 54yds Novices' Chase | 6 runners

    Timeform 1-2-3

1 White, white and black striped sleeves, striped cap Rock The World (IRE)
2 Emerald green, yellow chevron and sleeves, red cap Sizing Platinum (IRE)
3 Maroon, white star and armlet, maroon cap, white star Fort Smith (IRE)

    Timeform view

ROCK THE WORLD has quickly made up into a smart chaser and can make it 2 wins from 3 starts in this sphere. Sizing Platinum made an encouraging winning start to his chasing career at Limerick earlier this month and could be the one to give Jessie Harrington's charge most to think about ahead of Gordon Elliott's Fort Smith.
